I love seeing the arrival of the first snow against fall leaves. In spite of winter’s relentless darkening of days, there’s the freshness of this bright and pristine snowfall. It promises light against dark, balance of the calm quiet of fall against hectic summer days. It offers a Pause. And what better time than during this pause to gather together and offer thanks.

Winter Descending

I am giving thanks this day for that promise of Light against Dark. For the freshness each new day brings: the opportunity to see what’s good, true, and beautiful in our world. For our collective yearning to be the best we can be, and to celebrate that in each other.

Saying Grace

I offer my thanks to each and every one of you for all that you bring to my life. May we all find joy and love in one another as we celebrate this season.  Blessings of this fall season upon you and yours.  -Connie

My work is an expression of the deep connection I feel with the natural world. When I’m on a photographic “walkabout” I allow the lines of separation to blur and settle into an immersion, if you will, that becomes the images you’ll see on this website.
